Cat Hair Loss Ears
Cat has hair loss and slight crust on the bottom of the ears …?
My cat is 10 months old slight hair loss @ the party bottom of the ears (neck), there are tiny scabs on her circle as 4 …. I'm new to cats, odes anyone have any idea of what can be? (im gonna take it 2 vet ASAP!) thanks!
Sounds like ringworm, which is not really a worm …. is a fungus. Get some fungicides (for athlete's foot )…….. Lotrimin or Lamisil (my preference) and rub in well. Within days, the scabs will be gone and the ulcers healed. Then the hair will grow back and the cat will good as new ……… I have a mother cat carrying the fungus in their saliva … no signs of that in it, but always "gave" her kittens. I used the Lamisil on kittens, which healed very well and went home with love. After this happens a couple of different layers, I had her spayed. She is a beautiful Siamese / Himalayan but the "thing mushroom fact that it is not worth raising your more. Hope this helps ……. and saves you a trip to the vet! Good luck ……..
