Hair loss during radiation?
When a patient undergoes radiation treatments for cancer, do not lose their hair? My mom is receiving radiation to the hip for bone cancer and we were trying to think if you lose your hair again or not. The first / last time the radiation who was on his chest just after chemotherapy for what was already bald. Does anyone know if the radiation at a bottom of the body causes baldness?
Who had breast cancer and had 33 radiation treatments and I did not lose my hair with radiation. It just started to grow back and not affected at all. I think the only time that radiation affects the hair is when you head is not 100% sure but from what I've read that's the way they understand.
