Hair Loss Dry Skin Weight Gain
My Pekingese has very dry, scaly skin. What should I do?
I have a Peke 5YR old, have of her when she was 2 years and since then she has dry skin. It itches like crazy and some of her hair on the back is very thin. I tried the fish oil in food, did not work. The only thing that relieves Vetalog your itching is giving it a steroid. I do not like giving it on a daily basis, but I'm at a loss what to do. She has gained much weight and I think may be of the Vetalog. Our vet is prescribing, so I thought it was okay, but I think in the long run, its not good. I have no idea what to do with it. She is sad without him. Any advice would help. Thanks in advance.
my pekes were in the same way – it was an allergy to pollens and certain foods, to see if your veterinarian thinks allergies may be part of it – if so, maybe something like a daily dose of Benadryl might help.
