Hair Loss Male Pattern Baldness
Is my hair loss due to weight loss or male pattern baldness?
Im a 19 yr old male who weighed 215 and now weigh 165. I recently lost about 60 pounds during the summer(in about 2 months) by drastically cutting down what I ate but didn’t notice any thinning of the hair until September or early October. I may have hyperthyroidism aswell. Since then I have been taking vitamins and eating pretty healthy but my hair still falls out and has become inceasingly thin on top of my head. Is this male pattern baldness or from weightloss? When will my hair start growing back and are there any suggestions as to what this may be?
I was exercising while losing weight and still exercise. I take vitamins regularly now and do eat healthy. How long can I expect for hair to grow back and where do most people tipically lose hair after weight loss. Mine was just thinning over the top of my head but it is noticeable.
You need to go get checked out by a doctor since lack of certain nutrients can cause balding, or it could be male pattern balding, as well. No one on here is going to be able to tell you for sure what it is, so you need to get checked out since if it is nutrition related, it may get pretty serious.
