Head lice can cause hair loss?
My hair has been falling since March 2007 .. I had lap band surgery for Action Thanksgiving 2006, but had been on a high protein and vitamins, and not starve myself, but the hair falling. I got pregnant in July 2007 and seems to be getting worse! Only 6 weeks to go before delivery, and my hair is almost gone. I emptied my band and won 50 pounds during pregnancy (so far) has been the high protein and stillbirths. I work in a school and I fear that it might have lice! I tried to find out what might be causing this, maybe I'm just pregnant and paranoud, but Ahhh! I will pass by the nurse and have her check me out, but is there any correlation with lice and hair loss?
No no any. In theory, if there was a very bad infestation in your scalp was chronically infected could result in some loss of hair, but probably you should consider whether your scalp itching and pain. You should see an endocrinologist to help determine the reason for your hair loss and to rule and glandular or hormonal problem.
