However, some men and women face situation where they lose hair more than the average amount. Medically, the loss of hair on constant basis is known as “alopecia†for both genders. Also known as androgentic alopecia, this type of hair loss is caused by hereditary conditions that affect at least two thirds of men and one third of women at some point in their lives.
