What Should I do with my HAIR!!! Respond ASAP if youre going to answer at all.?

I need some ideas on what to do with my hair for my friends bat mitzfah tomorrow. I would curl it but my hair doesnt hold curls at all. hairspray doesnt work either. Its a lost cause. Anyways, I need some ideas. I like my hair to be down. so no complete updos. i dont mind having some of it up though, just as long as there is some left down. My dress is purple and im wearing a tuxedo jacket over it. I need the hairstyle to last all day, so nothing im gonna have to check on every 5 seconds. THanks!!!

here is an old fav of mine for more formal occasions
you will need lots of bobby pins or strong clips
wax or gel
hairpray
sectioning comb or a ruler

first pull some random small chunks of hair(kind of like long bangs-so a few from the middle top part and the sides) from around the front of ur face and keep them aside a good tie or a clip whatever. then part your hair half way down your head (with the comb or the edge of a ruler so that its straight) in five to 10 lots( like u would if u were about to do corn rows but not as tightly) and clip/tie them into indiviual lots.

take a decent amount of wax(a good fingertip blob should do it) into ur hands and rub it between them then smooth along the entire length of one of ur sectioned parts of hair. if u dont have wax use a good gel. then twist the hair until u cant twist it anymore(it will curl up as u do it) then get a strong clip or bobby pin/s and clip it close to the crown of ur head. repeat with each group and try to get them as close together as possible then once u have finished give it a really good spray with hairspray (trust me it works if u use enough) rearrange the curly bits so that they look like a bunch and no pins stick out obviously- (u will need a few more clips/pins to do the rearrange) then let out the parts of hair around ur face that u put aside and it will look perfect
it usually doesnt require any extra attention unless ur bobby pins are too loose,
