Natural Female Hair Loss Remedies
Has anyone had any luck with natural remedies for canine cushing’s disease? Please tell me your experiences!
9 1/2 year old female black lab, excessive thirst, urination, hunger, extremely high alkaline phosphatase levels (high normal results= 131; her level=6000), minimal hair loss, recent infections of skin, urinary tract, anal glands. ultrasound shows no other abdominal abnormalities except enlarged adrenal glands. no results with anipryl (up to 60 mgs daily). unwilling to put dog through testing and risks associated with mitotane. new british drug trilostane unaccessible and also requires much testing. tufts veterinary hospital totally uncooperative with my vet about testing and costs associated with trilostane. dog is still fairly active and vet says muscle tone is good, coat is still shiny, just a couple of small balding areas. no acth testing has been done. ultrasound specialist and my vet satisfied with diagnosis of pituitary dependent cushings from symptoms, serum alkphos. levels and ultrasound results. no bladder control problems yet.
