Sudden Hair Loss Causes
Sudden Hair loss in Cat?
One of our cats is roughly 6 years old, I finally was able to get ahold of him (he is NOT human friendly at all) and took a look at him, he has lost a huge portion of his guard hairs, and is let with little bits of hair, and where he lost the fur, the skin is pitch black, the rest of his skin is white. What could cause this? Mind I CANNOT bring him to the vet for another 18 days, absolutely no way of getting there. I don’t know how long he may have had this condition, but I assume within the last week or so.
I’ll add to, that he had gained a lot of weight lately, his belly hangs down to the ground, he is a pure bred blue point Siamese. I am not sure on his eating habits, all 4 cats have unlimited access to food all day.
Sounds like a thyroid condition.
